Initial situation

At the beginning of our collaboration, the web host had a visibility index (SI) of 1.5 and generated around 5,500 visitors per month. An initial analysis showed that there was a lack of high-quality backlinks to exploit the website’s full potential. The competition had significant advantages, particularly in the area of domain rating, which we wanted to compensate for through targeted link building. It was important to focus on quality, as the client was already receiving many backlinks on its own and quantity was not the main problem.

Our approach

We started with a detailed analysis to determine the link gap to the competition and the optimal domain rating area for new links. Our link building focused on high quality links with a particular focus on exact match and phrase optimization of the most important keywords. These keywords had a high search volume and strong buying intent, making them key success factors.

We also supported the web host with comprehensive SEO consulting. We worked closely with the marketing department to adapt landing pages, create special content for specific topics and optimize existing subpages. A detailed action plan and a list of the most important URLs were created and systematically worked through.

The result

Our measures led to a significant increase in the visibility index from 1.5 to 3.52. Traffic grew from 5,500 to 13,000 visitors per month, which corresponds to an organic traffic value of CHF 72,000. The success of the focused keyword strategy was particularly remarkable: several keywords with a search volume of 3,000+ and a high purchase intention were ranked first in the search results.

Thanks to the targeted combination of high-quality link building and intensive on-page optimization, the web host was able to significantly strengthen its position in the DACH region and now generates considerably more organic traffic with high value. The implemented strategy and case study relates to Switzerland.

Note:
The client also started with us with the .at (Austrian version). Here we were able to increase the visibility index from 0.38 to 1.12. The traffic value per month increased to 19,000.
