Initial situation
At the start of our collaboration, the online store had a visibility index (SI) of just 0.33 and correspondingly low organic traffic. The store had great potential, but lacked the necessary visibility and a strong link profile to rank higher in the search results and overtake the competition.
The considerable backlink gap compared to the competition was particularly noticeable. This link gap meant that the store enjoyed little trust in the search engines and found it difficult to rank for relevant keywords. A targeted build-up of backlinks and the improvement of technical SEO were urgently needed to increase the store’s performance.
Our approach
Our strategy focused primarily on off-page SEO and systematically building a solid link profile for the store’s .de website. We pursued a parallel approach:

Mass in the link profile: At the beginning, we focused on building a broad base of backlinks through directory entries, forum links and smaller content links. These measures helped us to quickly generate a large number of links, which gave the store a stronger presence in the search engines and laid the foundation for further optimization.

Targeted link gap analysis and implementation: We carried out a detailed competitive analysis to identify the link gap and the most important link sources of the competition. We specifically built these high-quality backlinks at the beginning of the campaign in order to quickly raise the store to a higher level and close the gap to the competition.

Technical SEO consulting: At the same time, the client received comprehensive technical SEO consulting aimed at optimizing the store system. The focus here was on improving the crawlability and technical structure of the store to ensure that search engines can efficiently capture and index all of the store’s content.
We used the available budget of €3,000 per month for link building as well as additional one-off budgets for technical consultations and on-page troubleshooting to ensure both short-term and long-term success.
The result
Thanks to our measures, the store’s visibility index (SI) increased from 0.33 to 2.11. Organic traffic grew to an impressive 81,000 visitors per month, the equivalent of around €130,000 that the client would otherwise have had to spend on Google ads.
It is particularly noteworthy that we have managed to get the main keywords with a search volume of 14,000 per month into the top 5 of the search results. This shows that the store now has a much stronger competitive position and is able to regularly generate high-quality traffic.
Expansion of the cooperation:
After the first six months of successful cooperation, the customer gave us two more stores of the same brand for Austria and Switzerland to look after. We were able to achieve considerable success in these markets after just a short time: Traffic in Austria increased fivefold, and in the Swiss market we were even able to increase traffic sevenfold.
The customer now benefits from comprehensive support that enables him to grow strongly in several markets simultaneously and to strengthen his brand sustainably.
