Elon Musk has owned the Twitter platform since the end of October 2022. Shortly afterwards, 7,000 of the 8,000 employees were made redundant and a major restructuring followed. Since July 2023, Musk has renamed the Twitter platform “X”.
When creating a Twitter account, a user name and password must be set. Depending on whether it is a private or business profile, the profile description can also be adapted accordingly. A suitable profile picture and a banner can also be selected.
You can create a private Twitter profile by clicking on the profile photo in the menu at the top. Then select Settings and Privacy and drag the slider under “Audience”, “Tagging” and “Protect your tweets” to activate the private profile.
